SUSTAINABILITY

Understanding our impact has always been fundamental to our brand. We are committed to continuous improvement, and here are some of the ways we prioritise environmental consciousness.

Our Ethos

Natural materials

We're committed to using the highest quality natural fabrics to produce our garments, using OEKO-TEX certified linen and are transitioning towards all organic cotton. Organic cotton is grown without harmful chemicals, reducing environmental impact and supporting healthier ecosystems. Our linen, made from the flax plant, is not only eco-friendly due to its minimal water and pesticide use but also OEKO-TEX certified, meaning it’s tested for harmful substances and meets strict environmental standards throughout its production. Both fabrics are biodegradable and renewable, ensuring our clothing is as gentle on the planet as it is on your little one.

Our Ethos

Our Suppliers

Most of our suppliers are situated in the EU for its security standards in production facilities and superior quality. We strive for long-standing relationships with our suppliers, and have been with our linen supplier and woven factory that produces the majority of our collection since 2018. We strongly believe factories must prioritise ethical manufacturing practices, fair wages and safe working conditions for their employees. It's important to us that they comply with labour regulations and partner with factories that uphold ethical standards, encouraging ethical and socially responsible production practices.

Our Ethos

Made to last

We believe in creating clothing that lasts and produce small production runs to minimise waste. With commitment to extending the lifespan of a garment, our clothing is designed to be oversized or adjustable to grow with the child. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted with details like French seams for enhanced durability and comfort against your child’s skin, pockets with extra corner stitching to withstand everyday wear and tear. By focusing on quality and longevity, we design our garments to be passed down through generations.

Our Ethos

Packaging

All elements of our packaging are thoughtfully considered from an environmental perspective and we source from companies who follow a similar ethos. We use biodegradable and compostable. garment bags to protect our clothing during factory transit and storage at our warehouse. We use paper mailers to ship our orders, which are 100% recyclable and FCA certified. Our fully recyclable and compostable tissue paper is printed using soy inks and made from recycled content. Our cards are also made from 100% recycled materials and our stickers are all made from FSC certified paper.

Our Process

Every piece in our collection is thoughtfully designed in-house by NQ founder Elinor. From there, they are handed to our skilled pattern cutter, Lucy, who brings the designs to life. Each piece undergoes thorough fit testing and sampling before being passed to our meticulous pattern size grader, Zuhair, who prepares them for production. We have collaborated with our UK-based pattern team since the brand's inception.

Our linens are designed by us, with careful selection of patterns and colours to craft unique fabrics for each collection. We partner closely with Liberty Fabrics for our prints, often creating exclusive colour ways. Recently, we’ve expanded our creative process to include our own illustrated prints to create even more unique pieces.
